The Commercial Diver / Tenders prime responsibility is to support construction activities by performing work as directed by the Project Manager / Dive Supervisor. Ideal Candidate

Education: Diploma from ADCE Compliant Commercial Dive School Current ADCI Certification for the type of diving being performed Current ADCI Compliant Dive Physical Current First Aid, CPR, AED, Oxygen Administration Certifications OSHA 10 Hour Construction Valid Driver's License with clean driving record Experience: 1+ year of experience in commercial diving operations Heavy equipment operation (if qualified) Skills: Ability to read and follow dive and altitude tables and related treatment tables Ability to check and maintain diving equipment (helmets, masks, air tanks, harness, gauges) Good hand-eye coordinated and able to hear safety warnings Clear communication with surface workers and other divers Underwater welding/burning and ability to cut and weld steel Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools for construction Ability to work at heights up to 50' or more and in confined spaces Fitness to climb ladders, wear PPE, and lift/move heavy objects Ability to travel and work away from home for extended periods Positive attitude and willingness to learn, with strong communication skills Responsibilities: Equipment setup and breakdown Equipment load-out and maintenance Jetting / dredging, dive tending, rack box operation In-water work, decompression chamber operations, and video documentation Burning/welding (wet or dry), hand and power tool operation Pneumatic/hydraulic tool operation, percussion tools, and cutting tools Crane rigging and signaling, placing flags/barricades Equipment spotting, salvage or environmental operations Additional duties as directed Physical Demands / Working Environment: Move heavy objects (94 lbs. or more) short distances and lighter objects longer distances Work long shifts with non-standard breaks Sit/stand for long periods; field conditions with various weather Lifting/pulling, exposure to elements and safety hazards Occasional exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemicals Travel to work sites and extended field assignments Hourly Rates: $25$45 per hour Pay is commensurate on experience EEO Statement: Ballard Marine Construction, LLC. is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
