About This Opportunity

Schedule/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, 37.5 hours per week This position is responsible for performing building and grounds maintenance, driving for Corps-related programs and activities, and supporting The Salvation Army through safe transportation and facility upkeep. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine building maintenance, minor plumbing, carpentry, and painting. Maintain Salvation Army vehicles, including preventative checks and fueling. Clean and maintain Corps facilities and grounds (interior, exterior, and landscaping). Transport Corps members, children, and groups for regular activities and camps. Ensure safe and compliant operation of Salvation Army vehicles. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to perform heavy lifting, strenuous physical work, continuous walking, standing, stooping, and some climbing. Work requires daily driving and outdoor tasks with exposure to weather, noise, dust, and related conditions. Must be able to spend nights away from home due to extended trips. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED Two years' experience in building/grounds maintenance AND Two years' experience operating an automotive vehicle OR any equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required skills Licenses and Certifications: Valid state driver's license Equal Opportunity Employer: Veterans | Disabled
