About the Role Canon USA is seeking a Senior Project Implementation Specialist to lead and manage complex multi-function device implementation projects within a managed print services environment. The role also contributes to the development and delivery of new project management and support services focused on digital transformation. Responsibilities include workflow analyses, observations, and recommendations to optimize business processes. The ideal candidate combines traditional project management expertise with a forward-looking approach to digital transformation and can work independently or as part of a team. Typically reports to a Senior Manager or Director and may mentor or supervise one or two less experienced staff.
This role bridges traditional project implementation with digital transformation support, balancing tactical execution with strategic service development. Emphasis is on customer engagement, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. The position can be based in Melville, NY; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA; Denver, CO; Miami, FL; Dallas, TX; Seattle, WA; or Philadelphia, PA.
This is a full-time, hybrid role requiring in-office presence on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with remote work available for the remainder of the week, subject to business needs.
Your Impact
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution: develop and manage comprehensive project plans for device implementations and digital transformation initiatives with limited supervision.
Coordinate internal and external resources to meet milestones within scope and budget.
Manage on-site implementation resources, logistics, and activities at customer locations as needed.
Monitor progress, adjust plans for changes in scope, schedule, or resources.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies; resolve issues to ensure continuity.
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and comply with policies and client requirements.
Conduct post-project reviews and drive continuous improvement; utilize PM tools to track progress and report performance.
Contribute to development and refinement of PM tools, templates, and methodologies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Serve as primary contact for project stakeholders including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Facilitate status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
Manage expectations and align goals with stakeholder needs; collaborate with Canon business units to improve processes and implement new technologies.
Mentor team members and promote learning and professional growth; gather feedback to improve processes and performance.
Workflow Analysis & Digital Transformation
Assist on-site and remote assessments of current-state workflows; identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or digitization.
Develop and present recommendations for workflow improvements, including technology solutions and process redesigns.
Examples include paper-to-digital automation, print optimization, document management, and device onboarding.
About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in document management or managed print services.
Experience managing or supporting digital transformation projects.
Familiarity with Daptiv (or similar PM software) preferred.
Strong understanding of print workflows and paper-to-digital automation.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% nationwide.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; ability to drive as an essential function of the job.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Certifications & Licenses
Project+ or equivalent PM certification.
PMP certification preferred but not required.
Six Sigma or similar process improvement training is a plus.
Daptiv software training is a plus.
Other Expectations
Knowledge of the document management industry (preferred).
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Experience interacting with clients at all organizational levels, including C-Level executives.
Professionalism, adaptability, and customer service orientation.
Attention to detail; self-starter with ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Clear, effective written and verbal communication.
Proficiency with MS Office 365 apps (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Teams).
Experience managing projects in a matrix environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Knowledge of Canon and/or partner/vendor hardware and solutions.
Physical Demands & Work Environment Requires long periods of walking/standing at customer locations and ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Salary: In accordance with applicable law, base salary range for this role is $76,150 - $114,040 annually.
