The Senior Engineer plays a key role in securing industrial control systems and is a physical security subject matter expert. This role requires demonstrating a high level of technical and analytical skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to rapidly changing technologies, procedures, and compliance standards. Responsibilities include providing physical security engineering support for electric utility critical infrastructure. Expertise in badging systems, credential management, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and physical protection of critical systems is essential. Job Duties
Design, Implement, and Manage Physical Security Systems:
Develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and alarm systems, ensuring they meet operational and compliance needs across Georgia's critical infrastructure facilities. Responsibilities include configuring hardware and software, troubleshooting, coordinating upgrades, hardware refreshes, and implementing scalable solutions to meet evolving security needs. Drive Innovation in Security Technologies:
Lead research, evaluation, and implementation of advanced security solutions and emerging technologies to enhance the organizations physical security and digital operations infrastructure. Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related field. Experience:
Minimum of 6 years in information security, with a focus on physical security. In-depth understanding of physical security monitoring systems, including Video Management Systems, IP cameras, recording devices, door locks, and alarm systems. Strong technical knowledge of security architecture, protocols, and best practices. Familiarity with network and system hardening techniques. Experience with asset and change management principles. Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
