The Marine Corps Enterprise Network (SMIT-MCEN) Contract is an eight-year, $7.7 billion program responsible for maintaining and modernizing the primary global network of the Navy and Marine Corps. To support this critical effort, Leidos is seeking a Data Center Facilities Technician to join our team in Quantico, VA. SMIT-MCEN is the largest IT services program for the Navy and Marine Corps. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) portion of the contract, the Leidos team delivers the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will help unify shore-based networks and data management across the Navy and Marine Corps, improving capability, enhancing service, and achieving significant cost savings by consolidating efforts under one enterprise network. The Data Center Facilities Technician will provide facilities, logistical, and technical support for IT production environments. This role involves managing facilities, infrastructure, systems, and applications requirements while ensuring compliance with standards, codes, and operational policies. The position requires strong collaboration with government facility management personnel and technical expertise in facility maintenance. Key Responsibilities

Provide infrastructure and facilities support services, including planning, management, and operations of power and HVAC systems, as well as Logistical Projects. Execute base-level Facilities Management requirements, including:

Local Area Network (LAN) cabling and infrastructure. Compliance with local and state coding requirements. Component identification and marking systems. Equipment racks, rack layout, and related hardware.

Coordinate with government facility management personnel on:

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). Power and Uninterruptable Power Systems (UPS). IT security systems. Fire suppression systems. Environmental requirements for data centers and network communication equipment spaces.

Support functional requirement assessments, technical reviews, and planning/scheduling activities. Assist in forecasting services, materials, manpower, and financial resources. Develop and deliver reports on estimates, baselines, thresholds, and realized performance. Monitor and measure service and application resource capacity requirements and usage. Perform setup, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT-specific facility components, including power, cooling, racks, and cabling. Qualifications: Required

Active Secret Clearance IAT Level II Certification: Security +, CCNA, etc. High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), plus a minimum of 5 years of building maintenance / facility management. Experience supporting IT production environments, facilities, or data center operations. Knowledge of LAN cabling standards, equipment racks, and infrastructure layout. Familiarity with HVAC, UPS, and power systems in IT environments. Strong understanding of compliance with local/state building and safety codes. Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining IT-specific facility components. Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting and resource planning. Ability to collaborate effectively with government personnel and cross-functional teams. Preferred

Experience with Remedy or other enterprise-level tracking and reporting tools. Knowledge of DoD or federal facility management policies and standards. Prior experience supporting classified or secure IT environments. Certified Data Center Cleaning personnel per American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) 127
