The Post Closing Loan Documentation Specialist I position performs the daily duties of reviewing closed loan packages for accuracy and omissions. Responsibilities include performing a complete review of the loan file, including but not limited to reviewing entity, collateral, and loan documents to ensure loan documents are accurate, complete, and adhere to credit policy and applicable regulations. The role also involves placing and removing exceptions. Specific Job Functions
Ensure compliance with bank loan policies, state laws, and federal regulations by applying comprehensive knowledge of applicable legislation and institutional guidelines. Review commercial and consumer closed loan packages to ensure that the required documentation has been obtained and properly executed. Ensure that all collateral is properly perfected, and the loan was prepared in accordance with the terms and conditions of approval. Identify and cite applicable exceptions for errors in loan files, including missing or incorrect documents, trailing items, and policy violations. Identify and cite ticklers for covenants outlined in loan agreements. Review trailing documents to identify and clear applicable exceptions in accordance with policy and procedure. Independently prioritize workflow to maximize production turnaround to adhere to Service Level Agreements and minimize administrative delinquencies. Perform all other tasks assigned, including departmental projects. Minimum Job Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent is required. An associates degree is preferred. 12 years of commercial and/or consumer loan operations/loan processing experience is required. Additional training or experience in regulatory compliance is preferred. Strong computing skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Loan Accounting Systems, Loan Origination Systems, and Document Imaging, are required. Understanding of loan application policies and procedures is required. Knowledge of loan documentation required by state, federal, and government regulations is preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read, interpret, and apply Federal Regulations.
