HDR is seeking a Geotechnical EIT/Coordinator to join our Omaha, Nebraska office.
In the role of Geotechnical EIT/Coordinator, you'll be responsible for:
Coordinating field investigations and laboratory testing.
Performing geotechnical engineering to support design recommendations for bridge foundations, retaining walls, and earthen embankments for roadways, railroads, dams, and levees.
Conducting geotechnical engineering analyses for the vertical and lateral capacity of deep foundations; slope stability and settlement analyses for roadway and railway embankments; slope stability, settlement, and seepage analysis for dams and levees; and subgrade evaluations for roadways and track beds for railroads.
Preparing geotechnical engineering reports and memos.
Periodically observing the construction of earthworks for roadways, dams, and levees; installation of driven piles and drilled shafts.
Completing site reconnaissance for the planning of geotechnical investigations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Iowa transportation projects.
MSCE or ongoing coursework toward an MSCE.
EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of 'Coordinator' and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
Preference given to local candidates.
Experience with local geology (Nebraska/Iowa).
The candidate should be capable of working independently and efficiently under the general supervision of senior-level Geotechnical Engineers.
Candidates hired will be expected to obtain their PE for career progression.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Experience with MS Office and software applications
