Overview
Providing Equipment Manufacturers access to technical industry talent in engineering and sales so that they are positioned to grow their business and Position Overview We are seeking a Robotics Engineer with strong experience in ABB robot programming to join our team in Leesburg, VA. This role will focus on the design, programming, integration, and commissioning of robotic and conveyor systems. The ideal candidate has a background in industrial automation, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a hands-on environment. Responsibilities
Program, configure, and troubleshoot ABB robots for new equipment builds and custom automation projects Integrate robotic systems with large conveyor systems, sensors, PLCs, and HMIs Participate in equipment design reviews and provide input on robotic/automation integration Support system installation, commissioning, and testing on customer sites Provide on-site and remote technical support for deployed systems Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to deliver turnkey solutions Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA 70E, etc.) Document robotic programs, testing procedures, and maintenance requirements Participate in continuous improvement efforts and bring creative ideas to optimize system performance Requirements
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience) 3+ years of experience programming ABB robots (RAPID language) in an industrial automation environment Strong understanding of robot motion, path programming, I/O integration, and safety systems Experience with conveyor systems, packaging automation, or material handling equipment preferred Familiarity with PLC/HMI systems (Allen-Bradley or Siemens a plus) Ability to travel to customer sites for system installs, commissioning, and support (2040% travel) Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills Valid drivers license required Competitive salary + performance bonuses Health insurance Vacation / holiday pay Laptop/phone/business credit card provided Paid continued education and training opportunities Seniority level
