This position will be responsible for the resolution of claims of average complexity and low to mid exposure claims. The primary purpose of this job is to investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle assigned claims by collecting and analyzing data according to policy application and/or contract provisions. The position will have responsibility for decision making within their authority and work under the general direction from their manager.

Adheres to Fair Claims Practices regulations and internal Claims Quality Performance Objectives Analyzes coverage and communicates coverage positions Attend all state specific trainings as scheduled Conducts, coordinates, and directs investigation into loss facts and extent of damages Confirms coverage of claims by reviewing policies and documents submitted in support of claims Directs and monitors assignments to experts and outside counsel Evaluate, Negotiate and settle claim when appropriate Evaluates information on coverage, compensability, and medical management to determine the extent of insured's exposure Focus on driving claims to a resolution with a focus of returning the injured back to work Participates in special projects or assists other team members as requested Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information Sets reserves within authority or makes claim recommendations concerning reserve changes to manager Travel to mediations, trials, and conferences as required Whats in it for you
