Summary:

The Quality System Engineer I is responsible for communicating various teams in the organization and manage and monitor its roadmap and projects progress. Other responsibilities include leading audits across all areas of the organization and providing training for QMS.

Responsibilities:

Understand the purposes and processes of projects, and provide instructions to each team accordingly

Based on the strategy of the organization, monitor and manage QA department’s overall roadmaps.

Maintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business, operation, and customer requirements

Organize and lead internal and external audits and corrective action reporting, including training and guiding other auditors

Create and register work instructions in the system

Communicate with HQ and other branches and convey information and requests to organization

Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system

Monitor and manage the organization’s projects and investment progress

Review, collect, and analyze data trends related to quality management such as 4M process, calibration, and nonconformity reports

Use QMS and provide training for new changes in the system

Organize meeting plans and formats. Lead or participate in meetings if needed

Understand internal work standard and apply it to related works

Manage and create reports for team and department performance

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, relevant experience

Experience

Understanding of manufacturing processes

Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

Knowledge of quality systems and Lean manufacturing

Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 90001

Skills:

Proficiency in Korean

MS Office Suite and Minitab

Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment

Multi-tasking and time management

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Quality Control

Flexible schedule to address issues at work as they arise and to attend meetings based on overseas schedules
