Air Vehicle System Test Engineer - Engineering Field Service Representative (FSR) Organization:
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems, Test and Evaluation (T&E) Relocation/Deployment context:
This position requires 6+ months of training on a Domestic Assignment to Pax River, MD and Rancho Bernardo, CA. After training, deployment to Japan, Italy, United Arab Emirates, or Guam for a minimum of 24 months may be required based on business needs. If no international deployment is available, relocation to a core U.S. location may occur. Deployment benefits will be communicated after location is selected. Travel:

Secret (with potential to obtain Top-Secret/SCI); ability to obtain Special Program Access (PAR) as required. Responsibilities
Interfacing with NGC and customer Flight Engineers, aircraft maintenance Technicians, US Navy service members, and Subsystem SMEs to sustain operations. Primary interface between maintenance, design and flight test engineering. Vehicle and Payload Test Controller (VTC/PTC) operations during aircraft start-up/shut down for launch and recovery, conduct static ground tests, and troubleshooting. Essential Functions
Provide inputs to update Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMS). Review/provide inputs during engineering development and execute Detailed Test Requirements, Acceptance Test Procedures, and Ground Test Plans. Install, operate, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify equipment in accordance with IETMS and related directives (TDs/ECRs/TEIs/AMRs/MAFs). Perform a variety of Organizational / Depot-level maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Develop general knowledge of aircraft systems, VTC/PTC, Engineering Design and software. Perform field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of air vehicle systems at the customer location including operations on a flightline or in a hangar. Interpret and trace electrical and Air Vehicle schematics. Perform essential electrical and RF troubleshooting with standard tools. Review and analyze engineering schematics, supplier design data, and support functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration on the Air Vehicle. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) or equivalent. Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience with BS, 6 years with MS, or 4 years with PhD in STEM field. Willingness and ability to complete required training in Pax River, MD and Rancho Bernardo, CA. Willingness and ability to support international assignment in Japan, Italy, UAE, or Guam for at least 24 months; location determined by company. Willingness to relocate to a core U.S. location if necessary. Ability to pass a new hire physical if required by the company. DoD Secret clearance (in-scope or enrolled in CE) with ability to obtain Top-Secret/SCI clearance within a reasonable time. Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable time. Experience with Aircraft Ground Test Operations. Strong MS Office skills; ability to communicate with leadership; strong interpersonal and briefing skills. Preferred Qualifications
Ability to support extended assignments at international or Guam locations after initial 24-month period. Active DoD Top Secret clearance in-scope or enrolled in CE. Experience with unmanned aerial vehicle test or maintenance (MQ-4, Triton BETTIE) is highly desired. Aircraft Test or Lab Test experience; experience with equipment to test and troubleshoot aircraft systems. Experience with loading data and configuration files to aircraft assemblies. Salary:
Primary Level Salary Range: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00 The above salary range is a general guideline. Base salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and market conditions. Bonuses, overtime, and benefits may apply. Equal Opportunity:
