Overview

TRC is currently seeking a junior-level Civil/Environmental Engineer with an interest in supporting broad-based engineering projects including site/civil, transportation/infrastructure design, and remediation to join our Northern New England Engineering, Consulting, and Remediation Team. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, 0 3 years of relevant experience, working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, and an Engineer-in-Training Certification (or ability to obtain within 1-year of hire). Responsibilities

The position sits within a multi-disciplinary team that provides broad-based engineering design and consulting services for a wide variety of projects. Responsibilities include working with Project Managers, engineers, scientists and geologists to: Conduct hydrologic analyses to support planning, development, permitting, and design of stormwater management systems; Design stormwater management systems adapted for specific development sectors in accordance with applicable local, state, or federal regulations; Perform civil/site design and planning to support various land development projects; Prepare grading and erosion and sedimentation control plans; Prepare technical design reports, compliance reports, and permit application packages; Prepare construction and industrial Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs); Prepare Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans; Prepare Soil and Groundwater Management Plans; Prepare contract/construction documents, including specifications and project plans. Prepare engineers construction cost estimates; Design and assist with implementation of site remediation measures; and Prepare natural resource permit application packages including the design of wetland and stream restoration, mitigation, and replication projects. Manage work performance for multiple dynamic projects, develop solutions to project challenges, and communicate proactively with senior staff. Execute field work and contractor oversight to support the collection of environmental data and/or perform construction quality assurance. Apply quality assurance and quality control procedures. Ability to make decisions and perform as an independent thinker but also collaborate with project team personnel. Advance career knowledge by attending continuing educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies, etc. Travel (typically 25 to 30%) throughout the US, primarily in New England. Qualifications

0-3 years of engineering or consulting experience Bachelors degree in related engineering field from an accredited university EIT (or ability to obtain within 12 months) preferred but not required Experience with or interest in acquiring AutoCAD Civil 3D software proficiency Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Excellent technical/computer skills required Ability to work in a team environment and on multiple projects at the same time Valid drivers license required Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check. In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Companys annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
