An esteemed medical center in Englewood, NJ, is currently seeking a skilled Physician Assistant for OR Coverage. This role involves providing advanced support in our cardiac surgery department, renowned for its excellent care and innovative procedures.
About the Opportunity: Hybrid or Remote: On-site Shift: 4 - 10 Hour Days with on-call requirements Schedule: Once cleared for a 3-month period, one week per month Hours: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm Setting: Operating Room, Cardiac Surgery Department Responsibilities: The
Physician Assistant
will be responsible for: Assisting in complex cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG and valve repair/replacement. Serving as first and second assist during surgeries. Performing conduit harvesting and endoscopic techniques. Suturing and wound care, including dressing changes. Participating in on-call rotations as scheduled.
Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in cardiac surgery Bachelor's degree required; Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program NJ PA license and NCCPA certification Proficiency in EPIC EMR systems Strong clinical judgment and manual dexterity Excellent ability to perform under pressure Effective communication and teamwork skills Commitment to quality improvement initiatives Attention to detail and organizational skills Desired Skills: 1-2 years of cardiac surgery experience Master's degree preferred Experience with conduit vein harvesting Strong clinical judgment
