BASIC FUNCTION:
Coordination of inventory replenishment systems and automated order fulfillment for the sales process to ensure proper supply is available and timely delivery to customers. This role will establish, maintain, and audit interface data and is responsible for troubleshooting internal or external issues to resolution to ensure the highest level of efficiency and customer satisfaction.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
The VMI Analyst will manage inventory levels and replenishment schedules by coordinating various departments within Operations Planning, Sales, and Logistics to execute defined strategies. This position will coordinate automated replenishment for enrolled customers by maintaining system data, interface setup, and maintenance requirements. The incumbent is responsible for auditing data for inconsistencies in completed sales and replenishment schedules with controlled inventory levels. This position reports to the Sales Process Manager.
This role requires a bachelors degree with 1-2 years of experience in vendor managed inventory, supply chain management, or distribution planning. SAP APO experience is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make independent decisions based on expertise and experience. Proficiency with integrated business systems, Microsoft Office, and general office equipment is required.
The incumbent must communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including contacting customers for purchase order numbers, sending order confirmations, and resolving service inquiries and complaints. Effective communication is essential to maintain customer satisfaction and address issues such as stock shortages, product shortages, and shipping conflicts. Collaboration with sales and fulfillment teams is necessary to address projected stock shortages and recommend solutions.
The incumbent must maintain knowledge of and adhere to GLN North American operations, products, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining data and interface requirements, such as product or customer additions/removals, inventory source changes, new customer onboarding, and forecast validation.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Maintain data tables within SAP for VMI data conversion, setup, and execution.
Process customer VMI data files from ECC through the APO system to sales order creation and validate sales orders in ECC.
Review and analyze output and data for errors, inconsistencies, or projected stock shortages.
Provide reports, analysis, and metrics on program performance to management.
Enter order plans accurately according to defined parameters.
Assess customer needs and requests, coordinating with relevant departments.
Maintain a courteous, professional demeanor internally and externally.
Provide sales support, including new item forms, samples, and specifications.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
