General Summary: Supports the Quality policies with system definitions and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead root cause problem solving.
Responsible for overall quality of shipped product to customer for a specific manufacturing line.
Contribute in/lead special projects as required or assigned.
Manage review of system documentation to verify accuracy and relevance and lead efforts to implement needed changes.
Ability to analyze problems, make recommendations, prioritize and manage tasks.
Supervise/coordinate correlation of change control for manufacturing documentation.
Communicate/document discrepancies and follow-up and verify corrective action.
Quality control plan development, root-cause problem solving and creation of engineering test reports.
Develop quality control and quality management systems.
Job Specifications:
Abilities:
Requires good computer systems skills, incl. word processing and spreadsheet software.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
Excellent organizational skills.
Education:
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree. CQE certification .
Experience:
Requires minimum of 5-6 years of related experience.
Experience with the following is :
1)
Customer Interface:
OEM interface experience
2)
Root cause and corrective action analysis/implementation:
8D, 5-Why, fishbone cause and effect diagrams, Pareto, green belt (DMAIC process), etc… (Quality Engineering tools)
3)
Approval Methodology:
Automotive Part Process Approval Process (PPAP)
4)
Validation Methodology:
Automotive Process/Product Validation Process (PV), test plans, final reports
5)
Process Control:
P/D FMEA (Product / Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis),
CP (Control Plans) and process flow diagrams
6)
Process Control:
mistake proofing, process verification, sampling frequency/methodology, etc
7)
Gage/test Evaluation:
MSA (Measurement System Analysis), Gage R&R
8)
Statistics: (basic & advanced: linear regression, frequency/probability plots, process capability/analysis (sigma, CPK, PPK, CP), control charts, t Test, F test, design of experiments, chi-square, statistical software such as Minitab, etc).
9)
Supplier Interface for problem resolution, corrective action implementation and change validation.
Will have responsibility for the following Quality elements:

Gage/test Evaluation

Physical Requirements:
Must have hand dexterity at moderate speed with accuracy for half of each day.
Requires steady, active effort and continuous walking. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in all areas of the plant.
