Mission Integration Engineer
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Mission Integration Engineer to support satellite ground system integration for commercial and government space missions. This is a full-time hybrid position with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote. This role is part of the Mission Architecture team and is ideal for candidates with a strong background in space systems engineering, satellite operations, and cloud-based infrastructure. The position is based in Arvada, CO (preferred), with flexibility for candidates located in Los Angeles, CA or Washington, DC. An active TS/SCI clearance is required. Key Responsibilities: Lead technical integration of spacecraft, ground stations, and cloud infrastructure Assess mission requirements and ensure seamless deployment Serve as the technical point-of-contact during customer onboarding Coordinate technical reviews and readiness milestones Develop and maintain interface control documents (ICDs) Verify requirements and support cross-functional collaboration Conduct mission simulations, training, and early orbit support Create mission support plans and resolve anomalies Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in space systems engineering or mission integration Hands-on experience with spacecraft ground systems and satellite operations Proficiency in cloud-based ground systems, scripting (Python, Bash), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and AWS GovCloud Active TS/SCI clearance Strong communication, multitasking, and customer engagement skills Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments Compensation & Benefits: Salary Range: $120,000 $180,000 (based on experience) Benefits Package Includes: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Sick Leave (as required by law)
