Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense System's Advanced Weapons Business Unit in Northridge, CA is seeking a Design Review Engineer Level 3/4. The role is onsite and follows a 9/80 schedule. Hybrid and remote work is not allowed. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mechanical Engineering team within the Advanced Weapons Business Unit. In this role, the selected candidate examines engineering drawings, product definition, and related documents for soundness, efficiency, and simplicity in design and producibility; completeness, clarity, and dimensional accuracy; correctness of materials and processes; conformity to design/drafting standards, design specifications, and practicability; and economy of fabrication, assembly, and installation. Roles and Responsibilities

Check design documents from multiple design departments IAW ASME Y14.100 and its associated standards and site requirements manuals as part of document review process in order to satisfy program and customer need. Develop processes and training intended to improve work product and design department efficiency. Participate in formal and informal design reviews, assist the design team with daily questions and drafting & modeling best practices. Basic Qualifications

Level 3: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD Level 4: 8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with ASME Y14.100. Familiarity with ASME Y14.5. Experience with conventional manufacturing techniques and posed limitations to design. Must be able to obtain a US DoD issued Secret clearance within a period set forth by management; US Citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications

Certification in ASME Y14.100. Certification in ASME Y14.5. Experience with Creo 7.0, Teamcenter, and Teamcenter Visualization. Experience with Additive Manufacturing. Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620. Experience with CCA design and/or fabrication. Active DOD Secret Clearance. Primary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
