GAI Consultants
GAI Consultants, Inc is seeking an EIT 2 to work within our Civil and Environmental Business Sector. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment that will utilize their related experience to develop professionally and grow in today's global environment. This position is eligible for GAI's flexible Hybrid workplace place/Telework Policy and a Sign-on Bonus.
Job Duties
Plans, designs, and facilitates civil engineer project design tasks
Undertakes technical and feasibility studies
Collaborates with other professionals and discusses requirements with clients
Uses computer programs to develop detailed designs
Ensures that work products meet client, environmental, and safety requirements
Performs work under professional engineering staff
Handles basic issues and problems but will refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
Possesses working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil engineering design tasks
Strong team collaboration, oral and written communication, design expertise, and problem-solving skills are required
This position requires local/regional travel and should be expected to be 20-40% (1-2 days per week as needed for project-related work/occasional overnight travel)

B.S. or M.S. Engineering
Certification/Licensure
Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and obtained engineer-in-training (EIT) or engineering-intern (EI) certification
Technical Responsibilities
Performs basic design tasks Assists on tasks such as field activities, material testing, CADD work, permit applications, and report writing
Project and Task Management
Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scope No managerial responsibilities at this level
Management Responsibility
Receives close supervision on most aspects of assignments, particularly on difficult problems, and a general review of all aspects of work Receives mentorship from a licensed engineer
Communication Skills
Possesses basic oral and written communication skills Engages in few project stakeholder interactions
