The
Brandywine Heights Area School District
is accepting applications for a
Maintenance Technician . The goals of the Maintenance Technician are to perform maintenance and repairs as needed, become familiar with the equipment operation and maintenance procedures in the school buildings, respond to emergency calls, strive to maintain a high level of staff pride in the care of buildings and grounds, and maintain good communication with staff, students and the public.
QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED. (Preferred) Technical Degree. Demonstrated experience and competence in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and equipment repair.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assists in the responsibility for keeping buildings and equipment in good condition to provide for the maximum welfare and safety of students, staff and visitors in the buildings and on the grounds. Generally maintains the building and grounds areas; Assist contracted providers. Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment General electrical, plumbing and general installation and repair Performs light commercial construction, including carpentry, framing, drywall, painting, and finish work Performs building repairs; performs seasonal maintenance and equipment set up. Assembles and installs various new equipment. Assists with maintenance and troubleshooting of commercial mechanical and HVAC controls. Inspects buildings, grounds and equipment on a regular basis to determine that a high standard of workmanship, cleanliness, safety and security are maintained. Assists in snow removal, plowing, and salt spreading. Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Buildings and Grounds.

SCHEDULE Full Time, 12-Month Position (260 days) Estimated start date to be determined following School Board approval and satisfactory completion of New Hire/Pre-Employment Requirements.
STARTING RATE Salary is commensurate with experience.
