Summary:

As a Smart Factory Engineer I, you will support the deployment, improvement, and maintenance of Smart Factory systems to increase efficiency, availability, and productivity of equipment and processes. You will also provide cross-functional support to ensure technology adoption, compliance, and knowledge sharing within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Review and implement Smart Factory system applications based on the latest technology.

Manage projects and deploy key Smart Factory systems (e.g., Remote Ops, Autonomous Calibration, Product Traceability, Preventive Maintenance).

Participate in Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning, and performance checks of Smart Factory systems once installed on equipment.

Plan strategies to improve equipment efficiency and availability through automation and digitalization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to co-create documentation and improve operational capability.

Serve as communication channel with parent headquarters on Smart Factory issues, projects, and progress.

Prepare weekly/monthly reports on issues, achievements, and project status.

Manage Smart Factory investment and operations budget.

Analyze OEE for frequency of breakdown and up time for daily production. Reporting on OEE (Micro stop, BM, and yield; including 50% of time spent on this responsibility)

Support the completion production work order for technology based (example. PLC program based and redesign of line) and monitoring equipment running post improvement (including 35% of time spent on this responsibility)

Complete daily documentation and audits, as required by position

Follow established work instructions

Adhere to safety requirements at all times, including the use of proper PPE

Adhere to general, and position-specific, dress code requirements

Participate in, and successfully complete, any and all training requirements

Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required

Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

Sort, set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronic, Computer, or related field) or equivalent experience.

Experience:

1 to 3+ years of experience in IT, network systems, or equipment engineering preferred.

Knowledge of Smart Factory technologies (PLC, Python, C#, Machine Learning, Network Systems, Vision Inspection, Data Analytics, etc.).
