Summary: The incumbent is responsible for providing direct health care services to the cardiac interventional patient population. Within this role, the incumbent synthesizes theoretical, scientific and contemporary clinical knowledge for the assessment and management of both health and illness states. The primary care provided consists of evaluation of normal and abnormal findings, initiation of treatments and coordinating the discharge process. These functions will be performed in accordance with the Standardized Procedures approved by Mercy General Hospital Committee for Credentials and Interdisciplinary Practices and Cardiology/CV Surgery Committees.

Rate Caps for Submission: Malpractice - Must be included in rates. Orientation - half the hourly/callback rate*** kicks in after 8 hours. "Per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours" Hourly - *** and below - "Per hour, not OT" Holiday - Must be 1.5x the regular rates "Per holiday hour, no OT"

Schedule/Availability Requirements: Shift times: 12 hours 0900-2130 (somewhat flexible start) We are looking for someone to work 3-12 hours per week (Thurs-Saturday). The shift includes Saturdays but no holidays. There is 1 other Full time NP currently and the locums would collaborate on the shared schedule. Schedule: varied working with 1 other NP to cover 6 days a week (includes Saturdays). Dates of coverage: ASAP start once credentialed for 3-6 months. Any call? No

Facility Location: Mercy General Hospital, Sacramento, California Specialty: Pre and Post Cardiac Electrophysiology patients Setting: Telemetry and Pre/Post Cardiac Unit FTE: 0.9 (full time) Duties: Individual functions independently, in collaboration with Cardiologist/Hospitalist to manage the care of pre and post procedure electrophysiology patients. Facilitates the progression of the patient from admission to discharge post procedure. Required Procedures: none EMR: Cerner Support Staff: Works in collaboration with nursing, care coordination, physicians. Reason for Coverage: Position recently vacated and need to cover until the position can be replaced. Deal Breakers (do not present this): Looking for NP with recent hospital experience caring for cardiac interventional/electrophysiology/ cv surgery patients to fill this role.

Credentialing Information: Timeframe: 4-6 weeks for emergency privileges Requirements: CA RN and NP License, Furnishing License, DEA certificate Credentialing with other facilities? No Billing enrollment: no billing for services. This is a hospital based position supporting patient flow in and out of the hospital.

Additional Details Admissions per day: patient load can range from 10-20 patients daily with length of stay 1-2 days Types of cases: pre and post electrophysiology (device implants and ablations).
