We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in Tampa, FL, specializing in court services. This is a unique opportunity to provide critical mental health support to individuals involved in the legal system, helping to facilitate the rehabilitation process, reduce recidivism, and promote mental well-being in a challenging but rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide mental health counseling and assessments to clients referred through the court system. - Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. - Collaborate with judges, probation officers, attorneys, and other court personnel to provide mental health recommendations. - Testify in court regarding treatment plans, progress, and recommendations, as needed. - Deliver crisis intervention and support to clients during legal proceedings. - Ensure proper documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations. - Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to discuss client progress and treatment outcomes. - Provide psychoeducational services to clients and their families regarding mental health issues and the legal system.
Requirements: - Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. - Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention. - Experience testifying in court or providing reports for legal proceedings is highly desirable. - Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with individuals with trauma, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders. - Familiarity with the legal system and court procedures. - Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and empathy.
