The

Data Insights Manager

is the voice of the consumer data analytics in our direct-to-consumer (DTC) revenue business. This role is responsible for delivering actionable insights from first-party data, web analytics, UX market research, and testing to influence DTC product strategy, merchandising, experience optimization, CRM, and retention to drive revenue. You’ll turn data into growth-driving decisions that fuel our direct ambition.

Key Responsibilities:

Consumer Channel Insights

Develop a deep understanding of our DTC consumer segments, journeys, and behaviors using qualitative and quantitative tools

Identify purchase drivers, barriers, and moments of opportunity across key life stages (e.g., first home, growing family, aging in place)

Monitor and report on DTC competitive trends, product positioning, pricing, and promotions

Performance & Experience Analytics

Own DTC KPIs related to traffic, conversion, retention, CLTV, and merchandising performance

Partner with UX and IT to design and analyze A/B and multivariate tests (pricing, product mix, page layouts, checkout flows)

Provide insights that shape product bundling, personalization, site taxonomy, and merchandising strategy

Data Strategy & Reporting

Segment and model customer lifetime value, cohort behavior, and campaign impact

Collaborate with DTC Ops, Media, and Brand to optimize cross-channel investment and attribution

Voice of the Consumer

Lead first-party consumer research of DTC trends: surveys, reviews, on-site polls, intercepts, and heat mapping

Build closed-loop insights from profiling, post-purchase NPS, return reasons, and CX support trends

Evangelize the consumer voice across brand, product, and channel teams

What You Bring:

5+ years in consumer insights, analytics, or strategy roles in DTC, eCommerce, or retail

Strong command of tools like GA4, Shopify, Looker/Tableau, Klaviyo, Contentsquare/Hotjar, or similar

Ability to synthesize data into clear, compelling stories and business recommendations

Experience leading A/B testing and interpreting statistically significant results

Consumer-obsessed, curious, and collaborative with a bias for action

Nice to Have:

Experience with home, hardware, CPG, or lifestyle brands

Familiarity with CDP platforms

Exposure to P&L ownership or revenue-driving initiatives in DTC

Additional Information:

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $71,000 USD - $107,800 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
