The Dental Assistant position is responsible for assisting the dentist(s) and the dental hygienist(s) in providing primary care dental services to patients at the clinic or in the mobile oral health unit. Responsibilities also include sterilization, preparation, inventory control of dental instruments and supplies, and ensuring proper infection control in all patient care areas. Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or GED certificate required. Successful completion of a board-approved course in the Dental Practice Act. X-Ray and infection control certifications required. Valid BLS certification or higher, following AHA or Red Cross guidelines. Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Compensation
