Job Summary:

Under the supervision of CFO, the Payroll Specialist to manage the company's payroll processes with accuracy and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, maintaining payroll records, and complying with all applicable labor laws and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for employees across multiple departments or locations in a timely and accurate manner weekly and bi-weekly.

• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, benefits, and deductions.

• Review and validate timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity.

• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to internal departments and auditors.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and labor laws.

• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports.

• Handle wage garnishments, levies, and other deductions in compliance with legal requirements.

• Work with HR and accounting teams on benefits administration and payroll funding.

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve any issues promptly.

• Assist with year-end payroll procedures including W-2, 1099s, and other required filings.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator, or similar role.

• Strong understanding of payroll procedures, tax regulations, and labor laws.

• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Paylocity, UKG) and MS Excel.

• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience:

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

• 2-5 years of payroll experience required.

• Certification in payroll processing is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position; may require occasional overtime during peak payroll periods.

• This position may offer the opportunity to work from home.
