Are you passionate about ensuring quality in aerospace and defense manufacturing? We're seeking a

Senior Quality Engineer

to join our team in Chaska, MN. In this role, you'll be central to maintaining and improving the quality of advanced electric motor production. You'll have a direct impact on program quality, supplier compliance, and continuous improvement while collaborating across multiple departments.

About the Role

As a Quality Engineer, you'll lead root cause analysis, drive corrective actions, and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100. You'll partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production to deliver products that meet customer expectations. In the near term, you'll also assist with inspection activities (receiving, in-process, and final) to support our growing operations.

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain quality procedures for motor components and assemblies Lead and support AS9100 and ISO 9001 compliance efforts Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives Represent Quality during customer programs, audits, and First Article Inspections (FAIs) Perform inspection of components and assemblies as needed Apply quality tools such as SPC, PFMEA, and MSA to reduce variability Collect and analyze quality and operational metrics Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve Quality and Delivery goals Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field 4+ years of experience in a quality-related role (new graduates with strong experience may be considered) Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and aerospace/defense quality standards Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electronic drawings/specifications Strong skills in data analysis, problem-solving, and technical writing U.S. Citizenship required (eligibility to obtain security clearance) Preferred Skills

Knowledge of special processes (soldering, crimping, NDT, surface treatments) Experience with quality inspection equipment and tools Hands-on experience with corrective/preventive action systems (SCARs, CAPAs) Schedule & Travel

Full-time: Mon-Thurs (9 hrs/day), Fri (4 hrs/day) Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required Less than 10% travel

Work Environment

This role splits time between office and manufacturing floor. Requires use of safety equipment and ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs. Vision screening required.

Compensation:

$110,000 - $130,000/year + Shift Differential
