200+ bed not for profit community hospital that has served its community for over 50 years Performs over 1500 annual deliveries The Manager will lead a team of ~45 FTE's across Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Units Reports to a dynamic Director of Women's Services Well supported by a team of experienced Assistant Managers and a Department Educator About the Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager Position:
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the day to day operations of a growing Labor and Delivery Department. We are seeking an inspirational, servant leader with a strong level of clinical labor and delivery knowledge who can promote an atmosphere of trust and safety, mentor and lead a team, utilize evidence based practice, and identify best practices that ensure the highest quality of care is provided to the community's newest moms and babies.
Qualifications & Requirements for Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager
BSN required RN Active License Must have at least five (5) years of general Labor and Delivery clinical nursing experience Minimum two (2) years of progressive nursing leadership experience INSPIRATIONAL and COLLABORATIVE leadership style Able to foster positive relationships across all levels
