Job Description

The HSE Coordinator cultivates a code of construction safety best practices (knowledge, awareness, and preparedness) across the organization ensuring Superintendents, employees, day laborers, and subcontractors are kept safe while minimizing the company's risk of exposure. Responsible for eliminating and/or controlling hazardous conditions which may result from human error, weather conditions, and/or equipment and machine operations that may lead to human injury and/or property damage.

Essential Duties Responsibilities

Responsible for enforcing company established safety procedures and policies. When faced with a safety violation, the HSE Coordinator determines the appropriate corrective action to enforce. The most serious violation can result in the HSE Coordinator enacting an immediate stop work directive. Responsible for inspecting all Sub Contractor work and ensuring compliance with all safety and PPE practices. Responsible for eliminating and/or controlling hazardous conditions which may result from human error, weather conditions, and/or equipment and machine operations that may lead to human injury and/or property damage. This is done by conducting job site inspections to ensure compliance with Crom Safety practices to promote injury prevention. Ensure compliance of all safety policies and procedures as per OSHA regulations and the Crom Safety Manual in order to meet companywide safety goals. Cultivate a code of construction safety best practices (knowledge, awareness, and preparedness) across the organization ensuring Superintendents, employees, day laborers, and subcontractors are kept safe while minimizing the company's risk of exposure. With oversight of the HSE Director, serve as on-site safety representative for jobs, which require one. On behalf of the Safety Committee, assist in identification, analysis, and control of hazards by conducting investigations of all accidents and near-misses to determine root causes. May make recommendations that should be followed to prevent the incident/accident from happening in the future. Monitor safety practices via safety reports submitted by Superintendents, Crom Management or Shop employees. Liaison with other safety/risk management personnel on job sites. Assist HSE Director in designing safety protocols. Assist HSE Director in preparing/revising safety manual. Attend safety related meetings as company Representative with General Contractors. Performs emergency response drills. Responds to employee's safety concerns. Member of the Safety Committee, which leads all efforts to enhance safety. Perform all duties in accordance with Company safety guidelines. Training

Develop, maintain, issuing out and ensuring compliance with employee Safety and Construction Training for all employees. Provide on-site testing for Promotions in the field. Manages Field Shadowing Program and ensures compliance with the program requirements. Maintain records of company safety training programs and ensures that all employees remain in compliance with training requirements including those for field promotions. Monitor and maintain database with Companywide safety credentials and certifications. Maintain up to date SDS records for all divisions Miscellaneous:

Minimum Qualifications 2-3 years' experience in construction Health and Safety or Environmental Completed OSHA 30 hours construction safety training CPR/FIRST AID/AED Certified OSHA 500 Certified Basic Fall Protection Knowledge Great Communicator Valid Driver's License Field Training on an active CROM Constructive site may be required upon hire Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook Clean driving and arrest records. Fluent in English/Spanish Working Conditions

20-30 % office-work 70-80% Travel throughout the Southern United States visiting jobsites in all weather conditions Capable of climbing scaffold ladders and working at heights above 0 feet Weekend and overnights may be required Application Process:
