Become a part of the nation's largest and most experienced Liver Transplant program as an RN on Cleveland Clinic's Surgery Weekender Flex Team. Working alongside a multidisciplinary group of surgeons, transplant physicians, coordinators, nurses and social workers, you will play an essential role in providing world-class care to liver transplant patients. This unique Weekender Flex position requires two 12-hour weekend shifts and one 12-hour weekday shift, giving you a total of 36 hours worked each week while receiving pay for 44 hours, along with full-time status and benefits. This flexible schedule allows you to balance meaningful clinical work with personal time during the week-offering the best of both professional fulfillment and work-life balance.
A caregiver in this position works weekend + 1 day/night, 7:00AM-7:30PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
Perform scrub and circulating functions.
Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic's Perioperative Residency Program
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA). If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it within six months of hire

Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
