Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to join the Power Delivery & Renewable team. This is a senior Lead Technical position involving technical and project management responsibilities, including client engagement, project execution, resource planning, and technical solutions. The candidate will work closely with various departments and ensure project compliance with all standards and policies. The role involves coordinating the Power Delivery & Renewables team and performing power system planning and studies for utility and developer clients in North America, with potential collaboration with renewable energy teams. Role accountabilities:

Manage and grow the System Planning & Studies team, ensuring resource utilization and quality reviews. Perform and coordinate HVAC and HVDC power systems analysis activities. Develop and improve power system planning processes, methodologies, and tools. Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, and Technical Lead to support business growth. Mentor junior team members and participate in client and vendor meetings. Develop plans for client development, account growth, and project financial performance. This role requires a strong team player with excellent communication skills, with travel up to 20% within North America and internationally. Qualifications & Experience:

Required: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Power System Planning and Studies, familiar with North American market operators and policies. Experience in planning/feasibility studies, interconnection studies, and system analysis for utility and developer clients. Proficiency with PSCAD and PSSE software; familiarity with other planning tools. PE License certification. Preferred: Ph.D. in Power Systems (Strongly Preferred) HVDC experience.
