The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Systems Engineer - Aerospace Safety to join our team.

This position is 100% onsite and no remote or hybrid is available at this time.

The Systems Safety Engineer will plan, define and verify system safety requirements. They will also develop safety analyses to ensure design integrity and safety. The Systems Safety Engineer will support commercial certification or military safety review boards as required by the program. They will also be responsible for reliability and maintainability analysis.

The Systems Engineer - Aerospace Safety will perform: System Safety Analysis and Planning Safety Assessment Reporting Fault Tree Generation Functional Hazard Assessments Failure Modes Effects Analysis Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis Maintainability Program Plans and Procedures Software considerations for aerospace systems Airborne electronic hardware evaluation Reliability Engineering principles Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferred but not required Systems, Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical 5+ years of experience in aerospace safety principles. Direct Experience in SAE ARP4761 or MIL-STD-882 Analyses, such as:

Aircraft and System Functional Hazard Assessments (AFHA/SFHAs) Aircraft and System Safety Assessment (PASA, PSSA. ASA, SSA) Particular Risk Analysis (PRA) Zonal Safety Analysis (ZSA) Common Mode Analysis (CMA) Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) Operational & Support Hazard Analysis (O&SHA) Health Hazard Analysis (HHA) System/Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SHA/SSHA) Hazardous Materials Failure Modes and Effects Criticality Analyses (FMECA) Safety Assessment Report (SAR)

Experience in conducting system safety analysis including fault tree creation, FMEA and FMECA generation and failure investigations Experience in completing Reliability Engineering principles or statistical analyses, such as Markov analysis, Weibull analysis (fleet risk assessment), reliability allocations and predictions, maintainability procedures, LORA (Level of Repair Analysis), Etc. A working knowledge of gas turbine engines with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of turbomachinery failure modes, including manufacturing methods, is desired Comprehension of electro-mechanical components and Electrical and Mechanical Engineering principles is desired Ability to assess system designs for maintainability and develop work instructions is desired Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient using of Microsoft Office tools U.S. citizenship is required Position may require the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S.
