Johnson & Johnson is hiring for a Field Clinical Specialist for Shockwave Medical, Inc. located in West Virginia. The Field Clinical Specialist will provide case support to physicians within designated territories for interventional procedures, support clinical studies, train users, and ensure timely data collection. Case support may be required in other territories as needed. The role focuses on the Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) technology to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Essential Job Functions
Physician and hospital staff training, and procedural case coverage to ensure the safe and effective use of medical devices. Meet the needs of internal and external customers with urgency and drive. Present clinical study training materials to support safe and effective device use, including study protocol, instructions for use, core lab manuals and case report forms. Manage key study investigators; foster relationships with medical advisors and clinical leaders. Collaborate with clinical research colleagues to meet field needs, including site retraining, data collection for timely database locks, and issue resolution. Administrative activities including training procedures, territory travel management, and budgets. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Minimum Bachelors Degree in business, science, nursing, or related fields, or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years experience directly supporting interventional or surgical procedures within a hospital setting OR 1 year of industry, hospital-based life sciences, sales support experience. Cardiovascular industry experience preferred but not required. Working knowledge of clinical research, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance guidelines for clinical trials. Experience collaborating with regulatory agencies through clinical studies and market releases. Product knowledge including product vigilance and medical device reporting. High attention to detail and accuracy; computer skills (MS Office). Finance and budgeting knowledge; strong prioritization and organizational skills. Excellent critical thinking, influencing, and negotiation skills; high energy and results-oriented; entrepreneurial, proactive attitude. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and to make decisions with responsibility. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with all levels of customers and management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; flexible to changing requirements. Willingness to travel >50% of the time; ability to sit for extended periods as required; occasional lifting up to 40 lbs; work in both office and possibly non-temperature controlled warehouse spaces.
