Maintenance Technician I

Eos was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Edison, New Jersey. Responsibilities

Work on systems including but not limited to maintaining the operation, adjustments, repairs, changeovers, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.

Use hand tools, power tools and other instruments for repairs and maintenance of machinery, equipment.

Performs a wide variety of functions, including the installation, maintenance adjustment or repair of equipment.

Clean and lubricate parts.

Take initiative in recognizing and correcting problems and/or perform maintenance type duties.

Plan and accomplish work with little or no supervisory follow-up during the progress of an assignment.

Ensure safety procedures are observed.

Maintain accurate repair and parts usage records.

Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts.

Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Programmable logic control experience.

Experience with lean maintenance strategies including preventive maintenance, Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), Time-Based Maintenance (TBM) and Design-Out Maintenance (DOM) are highly desired.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure.

Must have the ability to work in a team environment.

Operate within existing safety guidelines.

Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.

Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Prolonged periods standing and walking.

Ability to work long hours (10 or 12-hour shifts) including weekends.

Must be able to lift to a maximum of 50 lbs.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required

Associates degree preferred

2-year technical school or equivalent work experience preferred

Minimum of 3 years of experience required

Experience with lean maintenance strategies including preventive maintenance, Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), Time-Based Maintenance (TBM) and Design-Out Maintenance (DOM) are highly desired.

Additional Requirements: This job requires the ability to effectively communicate orally (and occasionally in writing) with co-workers and supervisors, and the ability to understand and quickly react to job-related oral and/or written directions, safety information, and communications (which are generally in English), as our manufacturing processes are constantly changing and evolving.
