This includes assessing, planning, and implementing security measures to help protect MNAA computer networks and systems. Potential for on-call availability under some circumstances is required. The Senior Cybersecurity Administrator is responsible for leading multiple enterprise security services while ensuring technical solutions adhere to various compliance frameworks and regulations such as PCI-DSS, NIST, and others. This includes assessing, planning, and implementing security measures to help protect the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority's (MNAA) computer networks and systems. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to vulnerability management, intrusion detection/prevention, firewalls, and security information and event management. Essential Responsibilities Plays a lead role in prompt and effective response to information security incidents. Performs analysis and response to tier II and III security alerts and events. Manages PCI compliance, including knowledge of PCI standards and continuous compliance assurance. Collects PCI-related requirements and information, analyzes needs, provides recommendations, and documents requirements. Collects, assesses, and reports threat intelligence and modifies tactical operations accordingly. Follows security work standards for firewall, network, and related systems; identifies process improvements. Diagnoses and resolves issues with firewalls, VPN gateways, wireless networks, and VLANs. Analyzes firewall security requirements through user studies, system security, and risk assessments. Assesses network traffic patterns for indicators of malicious activity and drives change within the enterprise. Identifies business risk and advises appropriate stakeholders. Supports the automation and improvement of the overall Information Security posture at MNAA. Assists with remediation plans for gaps reported in audits or process improvements affecting core information security services. Leads in evaluating new technical solutions and prioritizing risk within the security function. Working knowledge of Unix, Linux and Windows operating systems. Confirms administrative information systems by developing and conducting tests and auditing system performance. Supports other Security & Risk program efforts within MNAA. Follows all safety regulations and maintains regular on-time attendance. Supports MNAAs culture and values (RISE: Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence). Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
Computer Systems: Knowledge of computer systems, technology, software, and applications. Information Systems: Knowledge of information systems and their applications. Data Security: Knowledge of laws related to data security and retention requirements. Servers and Networks: Knowledge of LAN/WAN configuration, implementation, and administration. Cisco: Skill in managing Cisco network hardware. Microsoft Exchange/Office 365: Skill in managing the Microsoft Exchange/Office 365 environment. Microsoft Windows: Skill in using the Windows operating system. Problem Solving: Ability to identify problems and develop solutions. Virtual Environment: Skill in managing virtual and cloud-based environments. IP Networks: Skill in sub-netting and managing IP networks. Office Equipment: Skill in using standard office equipment. Deductive/Inductive Reasoning: Ability to apply general rules to specific problems and form general conclusions. Written/Verbal Communication: Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Dependability, Learning, Professionalism: Reliable, quick learner, and professional in all situations. Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field; 7-10 years of relevant experience; a high school diploma may be considered in lieu of educational requirement. 2-4 years of progressive experience in computing and information security, including leadership in cross-functional teams. Valid Class D drivers license.
Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Security certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, or similar.
