Shift: Monday to Friday-11AM start to Finish (overtime fluctuates)
Compensation: $30 per hour or more based on experience
Job Overview: The Maintenance Technician performs skilled maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and material handling systems within a warehouse environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment, with an emphasis on
Programmable Logic Control (PLC)
systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair
mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, including Material Handling Equipment (MHE), conveyor systems, motors, sensors, and relays. Program and troubleshoot PLCs , including basic I/O functions and industrial controls. Maintain and repair
dock equipment, forklifts, HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and fire suppression systems. Perform
preventative maintenance
on MHE, electric vehicles, pallet trucks, and other equipment. Conduct
facility repairs
(that could include, welding, plumbing, racking, structural) and installations (cabling, office setups). Maintain parts inventory and respond to maintenance requests. Ensure facility cleanliness, safety, and organization. Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required. 1+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or equipment repair. Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting. Experience with automated conveyor systems and basic electrical/electronic systems. Certifications
(Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Mechanic, Machinist) preferred. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and basic blueprints. Strong understanding of electrical (AC/DC), mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Skills & Abilities:
Troubleshoot industrial machinery and PLC logic systems. Proficient in basic carpentry, plumbing, and metal fabrication. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., work at heights, and in confined spaces. Strong attention to detail, proactive, and efficient. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Effective in working independently with minimal direction. Champion a facility utilizing 5s principles and ensure its integration into daily routines; while promoting a culture of organization and cleanliness throughout the facility.
