Overview

Desktop Support Specialist - Onsite (not Remote) As a member of the Information Technology team, you will join BakerRipleys IT department dedicated to implementing and supporting technology to advance BakerRipleys impact in the Houston region. Installs, configures, and troubleshoots networked and standalone PCs. Installs and configures peripheral devices such as network printers and scanners and devices in a standalone environment. Provides staff and users with hardware and software technical support. Documents all issues and resolutions in the ticket tracking system. Core Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities

Maintain quality customer service and communication by following departmental standards Perform troubleshooting to isolate, diagnose, and correct hardware or software problems Install and configure network printing and directory structures Set user rights and security on file servers Install client applications and updates on client PCs Provide staff and users with network connectivity, hardware, and software resources Provide technical support on provided client hardware and software Respond to needs and questions of users or the Agency concerning access to network resources Enter help desk tickets and respond to calls to the help desk Monitor own help desk ticket resolution times and communicate resolutions and statuses to customers Maintain complete inventory of all IT assets assigned to or used by Baker Ripley staff Enforce Agency IT policies Qualifications

Education Required: Technical/other training or better in Information Technology or related field Preferred: Bachelors or better in Information Technology or related field Experience Required: 1 year 24 years related experience and/or training or certifications Additional Information
