UT MAIN CAMPUS Purpose
Position will work with scholarship recipients and program students for the UT for Me Powered by Dell Scholars program to ensure students stay on track to timely graduation. This position will interface directly with students, both individually and in groups, to provide academic, developmental, financial support, planning, and referrals to campus resources while also collaborating with UT for Me team. Responsibilities
Support first-time in college students from orientation through graduation and aid them in reducing persistence challenges. Interpret and analyze student's individual experience to formulate plan of action to accomplish goals. Manage a large caseload of students through regular contact in person, via email, text, and other forms of communication. Provide individualized and organizational programming to promote retention and timely graduation; utilize holistic advising practices and key on- and off-campus resources to address both academic and non-academic concerns. Communicate with on-campus student success programs and all undergraduate colleges and schools about UT for Me generally, as well as regarding individual student situations. Utilize various case management tools and data sources to manage large caseload, including GradSnapp, Advisors Toolkit, and multiple dashboards and databases. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. Three years experience coordinating or administering a program working with college students or high school students in a college readiness capacity, orientation, counseling, advising, retention, student life, residence life, service learning, financial aid counseling, or closely related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Capability to use technology on a daily basis. Knowledge of student development, campus ecology, community development, and student learning theories and their applications in practice. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Higher Education administration or related field. Experience with UT Austin academic advising, student success programming or other intensive student-facing support programs. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Excellent planning, evaluation and assessment, time management, marketing, and problem-solving skills. Ability to think strategically and interact tactically with student populations in an effective and empowering manner. Salary
Salary Range:
$50,000 + depending on qualifications Working Conditions
