The Infrastructure Applications team supports a range of tools to provide monitoring and observability services to the entire enterprise. The consultant will work closely with other teams in a multi-vendor, multi-shore environment to help identify and close observability gaps to continuously improve customer experience. Strong preference for candidates with AWS-native monitoring knowledge and experience. Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain monitoring tools and related technologies. Actively participate in cross-team investigations to identify gaps in observability and propose solutions to close those gaps, including after-hours support for high-priority issues. Manage vulnerabilities throughout our tools portfolio in accordance with established policies/procedures. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices, evaluating and implementing new tools and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of our monitoring services. Work seamlessly alongside a group of outsourced partners. Maintain detailed knowledge of our operational practices. Provide regular input to the departments strategic roadmap. Follow ITIL processes for incident, change, problem, and vulnerability resolution. The following skills and technologies are considered a strong plus: ServiceNow (Incident, Request, and Configuration Management) Process automation Continuous Improvement methodologies Application Performance Monitoring (APM) experience Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) Splunk platform administration (design, installation, index management, etc.) DevSecOps or FinOps toolsets Required Education, Knowledge, and/or Skills
IT Consultant: 6+ years experience supporting or developing applications in an enterprise environment, with emphasis on monitoring/observability solutions. IT Consultant, Sr: 8+ years of experience supporting or developing applications in an enterprise environment, with emphasis on monitoring/observability solutions. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues promptly. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to prioritize and manage workloads in a remote environment. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. Preferred Experience, Knowledge, and/or Skills
Solid knowledge of application, server, and/or network design. Experience managing IT projects in an outsourced development environment. Experience implementing and managing monitoring solutions in a cloud environment (strong plus with AWS). Locations & Employment Details
