Jr. Buyer in Ellington!
A large food and beverage manufacturer is urgently hiring for a Buyer to join their team on the first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Responsibilities
Store and maintain parts in storeroom bins. Keep records of parts received and issued, and periodically inventory parts in the storeroom. Assist the Projects Manager and Maintenance Manager with the budgeting process as needed. Collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure all maintenance-related purchase orders are properly inputted, processed, and documented. Write and speak clearly and informatively, and read and interpret written information. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work, completing tasks in a timely manner. Adapt to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events, and react well under pressure. Consistently be at work and on time, and commit to long hours, including weekend work, as necessary to reach goals. Essential Skills
Experience with purchase orders, data entry, customer service, and inventory management. Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Excel and inventory control. Ability to perform cycle counting. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous inventory experience is required. Comfortable working on the shop floor. Excellent proficiency in Excel. Work Environment
The work environment is hot and dirty due to the manufacturing of milk and juice, which may occasionally spill on the ground. This role involves spending 75% of the time in the office. The company is experiencing growth and is integrating new technologies such as SMART TVs and newer automated machines. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ellington, Connecticut. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
