As a Utility Worker, you'll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services - uninterrupted. Based in Rio Rancho, NM, you'll have the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks, assisting the Craftsperson I and II, in the installation, maintenance operation, and repair of systems including but is not limited to the physical structures such as valves, meters, screens, water taps, manholes, and any other stationary or mobile equipment necessary, and required for proper operations of these systems. You will also record data from conducting readings of equipment gauges and assisting in the generation of associated reports and performing routine maintenance on equipment. This position requires your availability for on-call emergencies and perform other duties as assigned or requested. Most importantly, you'll?take action?to ensure the safety, health and well-being of you and your team.

A valid driver's license with no major infractions

High School Diploma or GED

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

Basic knowledge in the operation and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, tools, and machinery, used in and around water/wastewater systems, structures and buildings.

Safe work practices.

The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
