The Maintenance Technician will work as a part of the maintenance team. This position is responsible for leading advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance strategies, as well as providing specialized technical expertise and support for efficient line operations. The role involves partnering with planning and improvement teams, utilizing predictive monitoring and root cause analysis, and completing rebuild work orders to optimize equipment performance. Essential Accountabilities: Lead root cause analysis for chronic equipment issues and implement corrective actions. Lead advanced troubleshooting, repair, and predictive/preventive maintenance strategies and act as a primary technician. Develop and execute predictive maintenance strategies using vibration analysis, thermography and oil sampling. Maintain detailed reliability logs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Optimize performance of high-speed converting lines through advanced troubleshooting and mechanical upgrades. Serve as a technical expert and trainer for all maintenance levels. Provide advanced technical problem-solving and critical support. Perform light metal fabrication. Maintain clean, organized and safe work environment. Utilize maintenance EAM software to track all work progress and materials to ensure timely completion of work orders. Perform preventive maintenance and assist in equipment changeovers. Qualification Requirements: 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience required, preferably in paper converting. Advanced technical certification or associates degree in industrial mechanical/electrical maintenance required. Working knowledge of TPM, preventative/predictive maintenance, operator basic care, and equipment efficiency metrics required. Deep knowledge of converting equipment (slitters, sheeters, rewinders, wrappers) required. Strong analytical skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams required. Proficiency with precision measurement tools and mechanical diagnostics required. Working knowledge of CMMS and reliability-centered maintenance practices is a plus. Certification in predictive maintenance or reliability engineer preferred. Experience in fabrication. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. A working knowledge of GMP, FDA and OSHA regulations and guidelines is a plus. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision. Physical and Mental Requirements: Frequent standing, walking; Occasional sitting, pushing and pulling. Constant carrying; Occasional lifting up to 35 pounds.
