The Metrology Technician is responsible for supporting the installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of all site-wide instrumentation to maintain a quality Class A environment in GMP and non-GMP facilities at the Swiftwater site. This position reports to and supports the area team Metrology Manager who is ultimately responsible for the efficient, effective, and reliable operation of all instruments. The Metrology Technician will have interactions with all levels of the organization including HSE, Industrial Operations, Engineering, Outside Contractors, R&D, MTech, and various other support groups. Main Responsibilities: The ability to multitask, troubleshoot, evaluate, and replace site wide instrumentation is critical to the success of this role and the Metrology department. This position requires the technician to work on intricate and site-specific equipment and systems. The equipment and systems include both GMP and non GMP areas. The 24/7 GMP production environment requires technicians to work up to 25% overtime with short notice and working various shifts depending on business needs and production cycles. The Metrology Technician interfaces closely with the customer to provide reliable, safe, and efficient equipment operation and uptime. The focus to create and maintain a safety culture that is proactive and striving for zero injuries is of the utmost importance and an expectation for all employees. This position requires the incumbent to identify unsafe conditions/behaviors and take prompt action to correct these by reporting compliance concerns, hazards, and unsafe conditions to management and site HSE. Process calibrations in Procal/Indysoft and completion of workorders and time entry in SAP. Completion of all assigned training modules, SOP's, SWI's, safety, and compliance requirements in the I-learn system. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment; utilizing LOTO and obtaining the proper permits required. About You Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, plus 4+ years' experience in instrumentation or equivalent electrical education or experience. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation measuring temperature, pressure, speed, level, conductivity, pH, chlorine, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and associated control and recording systems.
