Position Summary

As a member of the Guest Services Team, you will be an essential part of the guest experience and help build memories that last a lifetime. In this role, you will wear many different hats and have the potential to work in several different areas of the arena. Responsibilities include ushering, ticket scanning, concourse customer service, and greeting. You will assist guests by offering directions and sharing information, creating a World Class experience. Your job will be to keep fans safe and informed while maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere. This role pays an hourly wage of $15.00. Benefits for PT roles:

Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena, located on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, is a 5,000-seat venue home to UMBC Retriever Mens and Womens basketball teams and Womens volleyball. The arena hosts concerts, commencements, family shows, community events, consumer shows, featured speakers, and banquets. Responsibilities

Prepare your assigned section for guests, including wiping down seats, checking for hazards, and reporting issues. Greet fans with a smile and helpful attitude when gates open. Scan tickets to ensure proper entry. Assist guests in locating their seats. Monitor for hazards and report incidents. Make lasting memories by engaging with guests. Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns or complaints. Assist guests in ADA accessible seating sections. Enforce policies to ensure safety. Manage foot traffic during events. Verify age for alcohol purchases by checking IDs. Be familiar with emergency evacuation procedures to assist during emergencies. Qualifications

Experience in hospitality or entertainment preferred. Passion for working with and helping people. Ability to stand for long periods. Maintain a positive attitude, even in difficult situations. Flexible schedule, including most home basketball games and weekends.
