Job Description
Position Summary:
The RN Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies. This leadership role supports clinical operations, promotes staff development, and fosters a compassionate care environment.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities across units. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including DOH and CMS standards. Provide clinical guidance and support to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Conduct rounds to assess resident care and address concerns. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans. Respond to emergencies and provide direct nursing care when needed. Participate in staff training, evaluations, and performance improvement initiatives. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure satisfaction and continuity of care. Qualifications: Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings preferred. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric care. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
