Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts outreach to newly admitted students across all MSW programs to support enrollment and answer onboarding-related questions.

Fully trained as an academic advisor able to provide program planning for degree completion for newly admitted students.

Monitors and responds to inquiries in the SSW Info mailbox.

Coordinates and facilitates new student onboarding events, including Welcome Sessions and the Community Immersion Program ( CIP ) with the office of the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs.

Coordinates class visits for admitted students.

Manages the Student Ambassador Program, including recruitment, training, and scheduling.

Oversees the processing of transfer credit for incoming students.

Ensures a seamless handoff from onboarding to the student’s assigned academic advisor prior to the start of the semester.

Supports Academic Advising.

Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree.

One to two years of higher education related experience.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Higher Education in an academic setting

Bilingual competency, Spanish and English.

Possess excellent interpersonal, customer relations and team development skills, conflict management and problem-solving skills

Certificates/Credentials/Licenses

Computer Skills

Ability to use MS Office suite.

Adept user of Internet, e-mail.

Other office automation systems and ability to use career services programs.
