Responsibilities Manage all phases of the project subcontracts development process, including preparation of subcontracts plan, bidder pre-qualification, subcontracts formation, risk assessment, execution, change management, reporting and formal close-out. Establish and maintain good contractual relationships with subcontractors, facilitate safe closure of subcontracts and avoid litigation/claims while preserving Air Liquide interests. Work as part of the Project team in developing and forming subcontracts. Manage all phases of engineering and construction subcontracts, including pre-qualification, formation, execution and close-out. Create and maintain project subcontract plans; source potential subcontractors and perform bidder qualification using Air Liquides approved systems (e.g., Avetta) in collaboration with HSE and QA/QC teams. Ensure timely technical inputs for subcontract awards from proposals and project technical teams; minimize post-award changes. Create and issue RFQs, add value to scope of work, technical documents, and project schedule; review RFQ packages for completeness. Receive, analyze and negotiate proposals with project and legal teams; lead bid clarifications and negotiations following Air Liquide guidelines. Obtain NDAs and MHH agreements from bidders/subcontractors as required. Conduct pre-award and project kickoff meetings; prepare SBAR for award with project team input. Execute/ formalize subcontracts following DOE, Guidelines and Procedures; ensure required subcontractor insurance is in place before work starts. Maintain formal communications with subcontractors and detailed communication logs; attend site meetings as required. Monitor project schedule and budget; review subcontractor reports and issue weekly/monthly updates to the project team. Oversee Change Order management; perform subcontracts risk assessment; monitor invoices and obtain lien releases/completion certificates. Support the legal team in litigation/claims as needed and assist in subcontract close-out evaluation and file closure. Foster a positive, high-performing Subcontracts team environment and escalate unresolved issues to the Director of Contracts. Respond to subcontractor and project inquiries and ensure all activities related to proper subcontract administration.

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Law, Business or related field required. Minimum 5 years of professional experience with contracts/subcontracts; professional experience in engineering/construction subcontracting for the oil and gas industry. Strong written and verbal communication skills; willingness to travel and perform site visits up to 25%. Proficient in core business software (Google Workspace) and general administration/time management; experience in report writing, presentation and plan development.

Work Conditions

Office and Construction Site Environments. Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000. Salary is a general guideline and considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, experience, education/training, key skills, and market conditions.
