Responsible for performing receptionist and clerical duties as related to the campus administrative offices. Qualifications/Skills: Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent. Special Knowledge/Skills:
Minimum Assessment Standard: Broad knowledge of MS Word. File maintenance skills. Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to use personal computer and software. Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written) preferred. Experience:
Previous office experience preferred. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Communication/Reception and Phones:
Respond to inquiries from patrons and staff. Serve as receptionist. Direct calls and visitors. Refer crisis calls to proper personnel. Clerical Support:
Assist in preparation for various reports, records, and correspondence. Assist with various office duties; filing, copying materials, and typing. Other:
Participate in cross-training. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Equipment Used:
Computer and various office equipment. Working Conditions: Mental Demands:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. This position requires regular in-person interaction with the public. Physical Demands:
Repetitive hand motions. Prolonged use of the computer. Frequent sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Moving small stacks of textbooks, boxes, equipment, and other campus equipment.
