UC Facilitator
Koniag Information Technology Services (KITS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a UC Facilitator to support our Army customer in Huntsville, Alabama. This position requires on-site presence in Huntsville, Alabama. The UC Facilitator will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of UC systems and providing technical assistance to users across the AMC campus. This on-site role will focus on providing user assistance, monitoring, and technical support for Unified Communications (UC) and audio/visual systems at Army Materiel Command (AMC) Headquarters. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Provide user assistance for mission-specific UC/IT applications and systems Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate support tiers Proactively monitor UC sessions, hardware, software, and networks to ensure optimal performance Monitor the AMC campus UC infrastructure and resolve network issues within scope of authority Set up and maintain UC and A/V equipment in conference rooms, executive offices, and operations centers Schedule and coordinate multi-point communications and video conferences Manage UC-related incidents using the Government service desk system Provide hands-on setup and troubleshooting for UC sessions Deliver prioritized support for AMC's "Top Six" leadership events, including one hour of monitored setup and active monitoring throughout sessions Facilitate UC session recording and archiving according to established procedures Implement bridging solutions designed by Tier III support Provide monitored setup and passive monitoring for non-"Top Six" events Create daily reports on issues, anomalies (e.g., projector lamp usage, scheduling conflicts), and operational concerns Escalate significant issues to appropriate Government personnel Maintain a current contact list of relevant POCs for rapid response to outages Develop and maintain documentation including system drawings, user manuals, and technical guides Support customer training on UC equipment and systems Document all changes to system configurations Education and Experience: Required: Associate's degree in Information Technology, Audio/Visual Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience 2+ years of experience supporting UC technologies and A/V systems Experience providing technical support in a professional environment Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot UC and A/V equipment issues Required Skills and Competencies: Hands-on experience with video conferencing systems and technologies Knowledge of audio/visual equipment setup and operation Familiarity with UC platforms and applications Experience monitoring technical systems and identifying issues Ability to provide clear instructions and technical guidance to users Proficiency in documenting technical issues and solutions Experience using ticketing or service desk systems Knowledge of multi-point communications and bridging concepts Understanding of conference room scheduling processes Strong customer service orientation and communication skills Ability to work effectively under pressure, particularly during high-profile events Experience supporting executive-level users Attention to detail in equipment setup and configuration Basic troubleshooting skills for network connectivity issues Experience creating technical documentation and user guides Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances Willingness to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama Desired Skills and Competencies: Experience working in military or government environments Familiarity with DoD or Army UC systems and protocols Knowledge of Cisco UC products and solutions Experience with digital signage systems and management Background in conference room design or implementation Understanding of audio acoustics and room optimization Experience with recording and archiving video content Knowledge of ITIL concepts and practices Familiarity with various conference room control systems Experience training users on technical systems Understanding of IT security requirements in government settings Background in maintaining equipment inventory and usage logs Knowledge of projector maintenance and lamp management Experience supporting large-scale video teleconferences Familiarity with accessibility features in UC technologies Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy The company is an equal opportunity employer.
