As a Lead Central Sterile Technician, youll help deliver safe, high-quality care by ensuring surgical instruments and supplies are expertly cleaned, sterilized, and ready to use. With strong attention to detail and by leading through example, youll help create a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement that drives excellent outcomes and improves lives every day. Your responsibilities will include: Leading the preparation, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies, making sure all items are properly cleaned and ready for use Organizing instruments and equipment based on surgery schedules and special case needs Monitoring sterilization processes and equipment performance, keeping accurate records, and promptly reporting any issues Maintaining a clean, organized, and stocked workspace that supports the team and upholds the highest infection control standards Training and supporting team members to work safely, follow best practices, and care for every patient like family What qualifications you will need:

1 year of previous experience working with instrumentation and infection control procedures

3 years of previous experience working with instrumentation and infection control procedures preferred

Certification in Healthcare Leadership (CHL) through International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) preferred

Sterile Processing Technician certification from International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSSM) OR Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) required within 6 months of hire

High school graduate/GED

1 year of college in a related field preferred

Completion of an accredited sterile processing program within 6 months of hire, OR 5 years of experience working at St. Davids Medical Center in Sterile Processing
