The role is located in the Houston office with in-office or hybrid work arrangements. Hanwha Qcells USA Corp (Qcells USA) specializes in utility-scale modules, solar PV, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) project development, along with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services for solar and BESS projects nationwide. Lead project controls, developing and managing procedures for project cost and schedule reporting. Develop and review project schedules, cost estimates, bill of materials, budgets, scopes of work, supplier quotes, and standards. Organize information flow between designated projects and office teams; monitor multiple EPC projects and manage risks. Conduct project cost and productivity analysis, and risk analysis; prepare weekly and monthly reports on engineering progress, schedule, and budgets. Handle engineering project management systems, account master files, and Percentage of Completion (POC) with project and engineering teams. Research market trends to inform strategy and planning; coordinate EPC group meetings. Provide extensive technical experience on photovoltaic and energy storage projects; supervise planning for contract preparation. Report planning and technical design to the Head of Department and to clients as required. Prepare technical documentation for quoting; develop planning capabilities within the team and improve system standards. Collaborate with the team to define company processes and metrics; allocate resources across programs to ensure alignment and training needs. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety; ensure compliance with Hanwha Q CELLS project standards and quality management system. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Renewable Energy field. Minimum 3 years of experience in EPC related to renewable energy projects. At least 2 years in a leadership or management role, mentoring engineering teams. Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time. Experience working internationally. Ability to motivate and develop others; excellent written and verbal communication skills. Work Details
